| - "Perchance to Dream" is the thirtieth episode of Batman: The Animated Series. It originally aired on October 19, 1992.
- From the CBS Video Library cover: "Edward Hall has a bad heart —and a [terrible] problem. Desperate, he barges into the office of Dr. Rathmann, a psychiatrist, and explains that each night, he’s been dreaming in chapters, as in a movie serial. The setting is always the same: an amusement park, in which Maya, an alluring carnival dancer, entices him into a funhouse and onto a rollercoaster…with the intention of scaring him to death. He knows if he goes to sleep again, he’ll suffer a fatal heart attack—and yet, if he stays awake much longer, he feels sure his heart won’t stand the strain. Whatever choice Hall makes…he’s brought a one-way ticket into the Twilight Zone."

- Perchance to Dream is a song included in the Halo: Original Soundtrack.
- The episode begins with Batman pursuing a group of criminals into a warehouse. After overcoming several of them, he is blinded by a flash of light and a dark shape descends upon him, knocking him unconscious. He then awakens in bed as Bruce Wayne, with no memory of the outcome of the battle or how he came to be home.
- With eight eyes, it saw him. With eight legs, it came to him. And with eight wounds, it killed him. He wanted to wake up. Gah! He screamed, bolting upright. That nightmare... Always that nightmare. He took a second to catch his breath. Slowly recovering from the breakneck pace of his thumping heart, he sat there, unable to even think. All he could feel was his ragged breath, his pulsing heart, and his prickling legs. His prickling legs? And then the web started shaking. As if being stepped on by eight huge feet. He wanted nothing more than to wake up.
