Ithaka, commonly referred to by its inhabitants as the "Cradle of Snakes", is an Imperial Ocean World and Feral World located in a sector of space known as the Reef Stars in the Segmentum Obscurus. This is a known recruiting world of the Iron Snakes Space Marine Chapter. It is from this tempestuous water world that the Iron Snakes draw most, if not all, of their Neophytes.

| - Ihtaka, comúnmente conocido por sus habitantes como la Cuna de las Serpientes, es un Mundo Salvaje y Oceánico Imperial, ubicado en un sector del espacio conocida como Estrellas del Arrecife, en el Segmentum Obscurus. Este es un conocido mundo de reclutamiento del Capítulo de Marines Espaciales de los Serpientes de Hierro. Es de este mundo de mares y océanos tempestuosos del que los Serpientes de Hierro reclutan a la mayoría, si no todos, sus Neófitos. Desde que los registros imperiales comenzaron a mencionar al Capítulo, los Serpientes de Hierro han tomado para sí la responsabilidad de ser los protectores particulares de las Estrellas del Arrecife, a pesar de que realizan esta protección a su manera, en cierta forma autónoma. Los mundos habitados del Arrecife varían en su nivel de desarrollo tecnológico, aunque a cada uno se les dio algún tipo de tecnología avanzada de comunicaciones que podría ser utilizada para convocar a los Serpientes de Sierro en caso de extrema emergencia. Esta tecnología a menudo se convirtió con el tiempo en objetos altamente ritualizados en las culturas de las colonias humanas del arrecife. Los Serpientes de Hierro son poco más que un mito o cuasi-leyenda en algunos mundos del sector, siendo en otros una realidad imponente. Independientemente de cómo son vistos, los Serpientes de Hierro toman su deber para con el Arrecife de Estrellas tan en serio como sólo los Astartes pueden, y harán cuanto sea necesario para proteger al sector y su ciudadanía.
- Ithaka, commonly referred to by its inhabitants as the "Cradle of Snakes", is an Imperial Ocean World and Feral World located in a sector of space known as the Reef Stars in the Segmentum Obscurus. This is a known recruiting world of the Iron Snakes Space Marine Chapter. It is from this tempestuous water world that the Iron Snakes draw most, if not all, of their Neophytes. Since Imperial records first began to mention the Chapter, the Iron Snakes have taken it upon themselves to be the particular protectors of the Reef Stars, although they undertake this protection in their own, autonomous manner. The inhabited worlds of the Reef, while varied in their level of technological development, each were given some form of advanced communications technology that could be used to summon the Iron Snakes to their world when a dire emergency demanded it. This technology often became highly ritualised into the cultures of the Reef Stars' human colony worlds. The Iron Snakes are little more than a half-remembered myth or legend to some worlds in the sector, but an awe-inspiring reality to others. Regardless of how they are viewed, the Iron Snakes take their duty to the Reef Stars as seriously as only the Astartes can, and will go to any lengths possible to protect the sector and its citizenry.
