- Heart of the Blade is a heroic tier, multiclass swordmage feat available to characters with a Constitution score of at least 13, an Intelligence score of at least 13, who did not begin as swordmages, and do not have a multiclass feat of a type other than multiclass swordmage. A character with the Heart of the Blade feat gains the Swordbond swordmage class feature. The character also becomes training in either Athletics or Endurance.[AP:136] The November 2009 update added proficiency with swordmage implements to Heart of the Blade.

| - Heart of the Blade is a Gear Skill in Unison League.
- Heart of the Blade is a heroic tier, multiclass swordmage feat available to characters with a Constitution score of at least 13, an Intelligence score of at least 13, who did not begin as swordmages, and do not have a multiclass feat of a type other than multiclass swordmage. A character with the Heart of the Blade feat gains the Swordbond swordmage class feature. The character also becomes training in either Athletics or Endurance.[AP:136] In addition, the character becomes multiclassed as swordmage. The character counts as a swordmage, in addition to his or her original class, for the purpose of meeting prerequisites for feats, paragon paths, etc. The character gains proficiency with swordmage implements, such as light blades and heavy blades.[U:11/2009] The November 2009 update added proficiency with swordmage implements to Heart of the Blade.
