Lupinia Muskar was the dormouse wife of Muskar Muskar. She had five children (listed below) who were of Dibbun age. She was a bit more intelligent than her husband, and quicker on the uptake. Lupinia and her family lived in a hollow cave under an elm tree. Her tranquil home was overtaken, however, by a band of vermin. She and her family were enslaved, and forced to cook for the villains. The impisonment came to an end, however, when the Highland Squirrel Wild Doogy Plumm and an old acquaintance from the neighborhood, Yoofus Lightpaw, came visiting. They killed each and every one of the vermin and set the Muskar family free.

Lupinia and Muskar obviously had a high opinion of Yoofus and were very trusting; they were shocked to learn that Yoofus was a thief, having trouble believing the fact even after he ran off with their raft, and the big drum that Doogy was intending to take to Redwall Abbey.
