William Henry Johnston VC (21 December 1879 – 8 June 1915) was a Scottish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. His citation read: He later achieved the rank of major. He was killed in action, Ypres, Belgium, on 8 June 1915. His Victoria Cross is displayed at the Royal Engineers Museum, Chatham, Kent.
