The Cult of Shadow Chain of Command is fairly simple to decipher. Solid lines connect to who has authority over what. Likewise, the higher up the chain one climbs, the more authority one has over those below them. Another interesting example is that of the Supreme Commander, who has authority over the cult’s forces, and thus can command Division Overseers and Dark Lords and below without fear of reprisal. However, the Supreme Commander is considered on par with the Shadow Keepers and can’t give them orders without first going through either the Inner Circle or the Dark Master for approval.

  • The Cult of Shadow Chain of Command is fairly simple to decipher. Solid lines connect to who has authority over what. Likewise, the higher up the chain one climbs, the more authority one has over those below them. However, the way the cult is structured can create some interesting anomalies. For instance, the Seers report only to the Dark Master and aren’t beholden to take orders from anyone else, but their station in the cult is considered to be below that of a Dark Lord. While this means they can go about their business without interference from anyone but the Dark Master, the authority and respect they are given by others is only slightly more than a Dark Knight would warrant. It’s also fairly common for some cult members to occupy two places on the chain of command at once, for instance a Division Overseer also being a member of the Inner Circle or an Instructor also being a Dark Lord. In such cases the higher rank is used to denote the proper authority they are accorded.
