The Elucidaries are a set of books mentioned in Might and Magic: The Dreamwright and Might and Magic: The Shadowsmith. They depicted the colonization of planets by the Ancients. Unlike the fairytale books known as the Fabularies, the events in the Elucidaries were real, though poetically described. Jassad Attqua found it very puzzling that the people on this planet could remember the original colonization after so many thousands of years, when they had lost so much else of their history.

  • The Elucidaries are a set of books mentioned in Might and Magic: The Dreamwright and Might and Magic: The Shadowsmith. They depicted the colonization of planets by the Ancients. Unlike the fairytale books known as the Fabularies, the events in the Elucidaries were real, though poetically described. The Elucidaries state that "a vast flower lay floating in the darkness above the worlds at the beginning of Time, releasing small seeds that drifted far on a wind warmed by the stars themselves before they found their new homes", a poetic interpretation of CRONs, as well as the use of solar-powered VARNs. Jassad Attqua found it very puzzling that the people on this planet could remember the original colonization after so many thousands of years, when they had lost so much else of their history.
