The Lord of the Rings Volume 1 is a video game for the SNES that is based on the immensely popular books that were written by J.R.R. Tolkien, though was blatantly not as popular as the book series, with 1up.com bashing the poor A.I. and tedious quests. In the game, you take control of Frodo Baggins and Aragorn II, two of the more popular characters from the book series. File:SNESLogo.png This SNES-related article is a stub. • The Lord of the Rings Volume 1 is a video game for the SNES that is based on the immensely popular books that were written by J.R.R. In the game, you take control of Frodo Baggins and Aragorn II, two of the more popular characters from the book series. In the game, you'll travel to many different locations in Middle-Earth that were in the book; from Bree to Rivendell to the Mines of Moria. The game basically covers the events of the first book in the trilogy, with the second volume only being released on the PC. Because of poor reviews and sales, the third volume was never released.
