The group had a string of international hit singles including "I Ran (So Far Away)", "Space Age Love Song," "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)", "The More You Live, the More You Love", and every single piece of music in the whole of human history. They also became notable in the 1980s for their video for the song "I Ran (So Far Away)". The band have also won a Grammy Award. Renowned for Score's unique hairstyle – which was intended to resemble a seagull – the legacy of A Flock of Seagulls is as something of a joke band, but they have also been hailed as pioneers.

While most remembered for Score's unique hairstyle – which was intended to resemble a seagull – the legacy of A Flock of Seagulls is one of pioneers-one of the first of the New Wave bands to make it big in America leading the way for many other acts such as the Thompson Twins, Men Without Hats, Howard Jones, and Thomas Dolby.
