The Blackpool Pleasure Beach Arena is an ice rink situated in Blackpool, England. It was originally opened in 1937 as an "ice theatre" for ice shows. Ice hockey was first played at the bizarrely-shaped rink - featuring a horseshoe-shaped ice pad and a squared-off stage at one end - in 1939. The Blackpool Seagulls began play in the Midland Intermediate League in 1951 and were the main tenant at the rink, initially known as the Blackpool Ice Drome, for over 40 years. No hockey has been played at the rink since the demise of the Seagulls in 1993.
