Listen closely, do you here that? The ticking sound, can you hear it? Listen very closely and you’ll here the unmistakable sound of a ticking clock doming from the seventh ballroom of Prince Prospero’s castle – The Blood Room. Based on the short story written by Edgar Allen Poe, the Masque of the Red Death gave players another chilling option for their Halloween.Prince Prospero invited guest to join him for an evening of dancing, dining, and all around debauchery. The evening started off well enough with the guest arriving and enjoying the company of those around them, everyone wore masks so no one noticed the entrance of a demon, Red Death himself. As the night progressed, the sound of the ticking clock continued.Every hour on the hour, a clock rang out. The guests thinking nothing of it

As the night progressed, the sound of the ticking clock continued.Every hour on the hour, a clock rang out. The guests thinking nothing of it continued their time of dancing and socializing. As the clock finally stuck the midnight hour, Prince Prospero decided that one guest didn’t quite belong, one guest that he had been avoiding. As the Prince challenged Red Death demanding to know who he was and that he leave, Red Death did what he had come to do, he took the life of the host who had been avoiding him for far too long. Most guest consumed far too much wine to really remember the events of the night and the reports vary from person to person. One thing is for sure though, Prince Prospero has hosted his last party.
