The United States presidential election of 2028 was the 61st quadrennial United States presidential election. It was held on Saturday, November 4, 2028. Libertarian nominee and Michigan Senator Justin Amash defeated Republican candidate and Vice President Ted Cruz; Democratic candidate and Massachusetts Governor Ben Affleck; and American Party candidate and Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton. Amash became the first President of Arabic descent, as well as the first President since Millard Filmore to have belonged to neither the Republican nor Democratic parties.
