- Kannon, commonly known in English as the Mercy Goddess or Goddess of Mercy, is considered to be the goddess of mercy and compassion. She's the Japanese version of China's Guan-Yin, who is really a female manifestation of India's Avalokitesvara. In Japanese, the Chinese pronunciation of Guanyin is pronounced Kannon (観音), occasionally Kan'on, or more formally Kanzeon (観世音), the same characters as Guanshiyin); the spelling Kwannon, based on a pre-modern pronunciation, is sometimes seen. The name Guanyin is short for Guanshiyin, which means "Observing the Sounds (or Cries) of the World"
- Kannons are enemies found in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. They are mentioned to be Klumps in pirate gear. Despite their toughness, they can be defeated by just a simple jump on the head. These enemies attack by shooting cannons or barrels at Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong.
- Kannon was the location of a planetary system in orbit, including fifth planet Kannon V. (ST video game: Starfleet Command III)
- Als Kannon bezeichnet man einen Kremling, der stark an Klump erinnert und fast genauso aussieht wie er. Anders als Klump schießt er mit Kanonenkugeln aus seiner Kanone.
- Kannons are Kremling enemies that shoot Kannonballs at Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong in the games Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. They appear in many levels, especially underground levels. They replace Klumps from Donkey Kong Country.
