Most circuits (except rally courses) have a pit-lane which runs alongside the start/finish straight. There are however, exceptions to this rule. The most notable one is at the Eiger Nordwand Short Track, where the pit-lane is located around a quarter of the way round the track. There are also several circuits without a pit-lane, for example, Top Gear Test Track, Special Stage Route 7, and Suzuka Circuit West. (See for more).
