Robert Lee Sneddon (born July 9, 1921) was an American football running back in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins and the Detroit Lions. Sneddon also played in the All-America Football Conference for the Los Angeles Dons. He played college football at St. Mary's College of California and was drafted in the tenth round of the 1944 NFL Draft. He was born in Ogden, Utah.

He played in 5 games with the California Golden Seals during the 1970–71 NHL season. He played junior hockey with the St. Catharines Black Hawks in 1963-64. After that he continued to play in the Chicago Blackhawks system, winning the James Norris Memorial Trophy in the International Hockey League in 1965-66. With Glenn Hall and Denis Dejordy playing for Chicago, the odds were heavily against Sneddon making it to the NHL.

| - Robert Allan Sneddon (born May 31, 1944 in Montreal, Quebec) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played in 5 games with the California Golden Seals during the 1970–71 NHL season. He played junior hockey with the St. Catharines Black Hawks in 1963-64. After that he continued to play in the Chicago Blackhawks system, winning the James Norris Memorial Trophy in the International Hockey League in 1965-66. With Glenn Hall and Denis Dejordy playing for Chicago, the odds were heavily against Sneddon making it to the NHL. The Blackhawks traded him to the Philadelphia Flyers in 1968 for Brian Bradley. However the Flyers were deep in goalies as well (Bernie Parent and Doug Favell) so Sneddon still played in the minors. Even being claimed by the Los Angeles Kings in 1969 did not produce the NHL chance for Sneddon. In 1970 he was claimed by the California Golden Seals in the reverse draft and finally got some NHL time. He played in 5 games for the last-place Seals. After that he played seven years of minor pro and three years of senior hockey. He retired in 1980.
