Polly: That Gulpin ate it all up... Rainbow: TEDDI! (HEY!) Polly: Hey, go away! Those are the Pokémon's food! Cupcake: Ivy Saur Saur! Ivysaur! (Hey, that's not very nice! Apologize!) Gulpin: Pin! (No!) Gulpin: Gulpin Pin? (What'sa matter with you?) Gulpin: Gulpin-Gulpin. Gulpin-Gulpin. (Hey, not my fault if you're hungry. I gotta eat too.) Rainbow: Teddi teddi! (But it's my food!) Gulpin: Gulpin-Gulpin-Pin. (Not my problem, runt.) Polly: Huh. Don't think I've ever seen Rainbow so angry before. ???: What happened? Sugar: Hi! Rainbow's unleashing fury. Candy: Don't worry, I got this. Whismur, go! Tyrantrum: (to Rainbow, mouthful) Tyrantrum-Trum. (Come along, squirt.) Candy: I'll back you up. Whismur, give Gulpin a dose of your Flamethrower. Tyrantrum: (to Rainbow, mouthful) Tyrantrum Trum-Trum. (Stop squirming, cub.) Candy: Rainbow's using Play Rough! Charizard: (growls, to Rainbow) (This is Candy's Whismur's battle, not yours, little cub.) Cupcake: Ivysaur-Saur. (Knock it off, now.) Candy's Whismur: Whismur mur! (Don't do it, Rainbow!) Candy: Looks like Rainbow was about to use Slash but Whismur stopped the attack. Sugar: Cool! Candy's Marshtomp: Marsh tomp tomp! (Whismur's right, youngster) Candy's Kirlia: Kir liiii! (Don't even try, little tyke) Rainbow: (snoring) Ur... Sa... Cupcake: Ivysaur Saur Ivysaur. (Gulpin's all yours, Whismur) Candy's Whismur: Whis! (Thanks!) Candy's Marshtomp: (to Sugar, clueless) Marsh, Marshtomp tomp marsh Marshtomp tomp! (Sugar, looks like Rainbow's got an attitude problem!) Big Faye: Oh yes, I've noticed that too. Polly: Huh? Candy: Translate for us? Sugar: Yeah, what'd Marshtomp say? Big Faye: She says, and I quote, "Sugar, looks like Rainbow's got an attitude problem". Candy: Marshtomp's got a good point. Polly: What's that? Candy: Watch! (the ring glowed, as both Candy and Whismur began doing a pose that looked like a Z) Candy: DO IT! BREAKNECK BLITZ! Candy: (throws a Poké Ball) Now, go Poké Ball. Polly: Whoa... Big Faye: Oh my... Sugar: Yaaaay!!! (grins) Caber: (in shock) What... Was... That move? Sugar: I dunno, but it looked cool! Candy: That was a Z-Move! Sugar: A what? Caber: Z-Move? Polly: What's a Z-Move? Candy: (makes her lecture) is a special type of move which a Trainer and their Pokémon's wishes combine to unleash an attack comprising the full power of both. These moves are very powerful, but they can only be used once per battle. There are three different kinds of Z-Moves: Z-Moves which can be used by any Pokémon, with one Z-Move for each of the 18 types; status moves that have been turned into Z-Moves by one of the 18 type-specific Z-Crystals; and Z-Moves that can only be used by specific Pokémon. The Z-Move that a Pokémon can perform depends on the Z-Crystal it holds. There are 18 different Z-Crystals that correspond to each of the 18 types, and several others that correspond to specific Pokémon. Z-Moves work by powering up one of the Pokémon's normal moves, so the Pokémon must also know an appropriate move. For the type-related Z-Crystals, the Pokémon must know a move of the same type as the Z-Crystal it is holding. For the Pokémon-specific Z-Crystals, the move required differs for each Pokémon. Polly/Sugar: (in unison) Whoa... Big Faye: My goodness... Caber: Hmm... (scratches his chin) Candy: Well, I must be off now, take care. (she, Marshtomp, Kirlia and Whismur leave) Polly: Well, I hope that Gulpin is taught some manners.
