The Alliance of Sangheili Clans, abbreviated ASC, was the governing body of the Sangheili race, formed on March 19, 2553 on Sanghelios, out of the foundations of the Covenant Separatists. The Alliance of Sangheili Clans, along with its military branch, the Sangheili Defence Force, was actively involved in the Remnant War between 2553 and 2565, at first fighting the splintered Covenant successor factions and later the reformed Covenant Remnant. In this war it fought alongside the Unified Earth Government and Yanme'e Conglomeration and later, the Ve'nek Dominion, Antarean Commonwealth and Royal Allegiance. Later. the ASC was a belligerent in the Galactic War and the immediately following Swarm War; by this time the Sangheili encompassed several hundred thousand worlds, many with multi-specie
