Potions of balance are potions that, when drunk, balance the player's stats, by adding points to weak ones and taking some off the strong ones. Simply add all attribute scores and divide by nine, rounding down. Then add 3 points if a blessed potion is used, and subtract 3 points for a cursed one. Any stat lower than the result will be increased, and those above it are decreased (by a single point in all instances). A stat equal to the result will never change. Also stats will not increase if they are at their potential maximum.

Desirability
| - They are somewhat useful to players, depending on their stat situation. If stats are already well-balanced, a blessed potion of balance will result in an overall gain with very little loss for the higher stats.

Simply add all attribute scores and divide by nine, rounding down. Then add 3 points if a blessed potion is used, and subtract 3 points for a cursed one. Any stat lower than the result will be increased, and those above it are decreased . A stat equal to the result will never change. Also stats will not increase if they are at their potential maximum.
In earlier versions of the game, it was possible to use worn items and stat boosting potions to boost some not so hot stats and get better results. As of version 1.2.0, however, all stat gains are based on "base" stats, and not "modified" ones, so wearing equipment to change stat totals will not affect the results at all.
These potions do not always work. There is a certain chance that they will move your alignment towards N=. There is also some cap in raising stats above 20 points, with 25 believed to be the maximum, although Soirana managed to get stats from 25 to 27 by using a few hundred uncursed potions in tests.
These potions are rather satiating, with average nutrition value. Uncursed ones are as good as two large rations, while other B/U/C follow the same rule as all food items .
