They started under Sharam Q vocalist Tsunku, who served as their lyricist, composer, and producer until he resigned from being Hello! Project's general producer in October 2014. Juice=Juice debuted in 2013 as an indies unit. Later that year, after releasing two singles and one featured single, they signed to the hachama label and released their major debut single, "Romance no Tochuu / Watashi ga Iu Mae ni Dakishimenakya ne (MEMORIAL EDIT) / Samidare Bijo ga Samidareru (MEMORIAL EDIT)," which debuted at #2 on the Oricon weekly singles chart. The group released their debut album First Squeeze! in 2015. Their 7th single "Next is you! / Karada Dake ga Otona ni Nattan ja nai" is their best selling single with a total of 47,482 copies sold.
