  • The Mastership of Flotch is a nation-state north and west of the New Coldlands, south and west of Lobott, south, east, and north of Telf. Its borders are the Mind Mountains, the River Gehenne, and the Cold Desert. Fiddles are a popular instrument in Flotch. The High Grey is the Master of Flotch, though Delkish Monarchs nominally claim the title. In the past, before Messink, and during the 2nd Cold War, Flotch's Master was chosen by its seventeen greatest slaving families. During the 2nd Cold War they chose Lord Alt Soldierhouse of Trooptonne, pitting him against his brother Mok Soldierhouse who was at the time Grand Admiral of the Navy of the Delkish Empire. Mok personally slew his own brother, and in shame had his king take the hand he slew him with. He also saw to it that Alt was buried with full military honors, and took a vow of silence which he broke only whilst aboard ships.
