Maggie's room was located on the second floor of the great house of Collinwood. Like many of the rooms at Collinwood, it was furnished with antique furniture and came equipped with a private fireplace. What Maggie wasn't aware of however, was that one of the walls contained a secret panel that lead into a labyrinthine maze of hidden corridors running throughout the house. The hidden passageways likewise lead downstairs and outside towards the cliffs leading to Widows' Hill.

In July of 1970, the vampire Barnabas Collins used these hidden corridors to sneak into Maggie's room and kidnap her. He carried her back down through the passageways and out onto the seaside edge of the house.
