Buzzflower and Mallobarb are the Fairy Godmothers of the princess Briar Rose. They are very protective of her and were heartbroken when she died in The Everafter War. They are said to have threatened Jake on multiple occasions since he was trying to date her. (In the end they only wanted Briar to be happy, and he is later able to date her, although the women are still not too keen on Jake until after Briar's death). They once told Jake that he could not date the princess until he cut his hair and became a prince neither of which were about to happen. Mallobarb was killed in the ninth book by an arrow.
