Tracks 1-6 were originally released on a 10" LP as BLP 5022, the track listing below is that of the 2001 reissue containing all the music recorded at the session. Davis's other recordings for Blue Note (in 1952 and 1954) are collected on Miles Davis Volume 1. In the original LP running order (BLP 1502, duplicated on some Japanese CD versions), all three sessions were represented, with the 1954 session (originally released on BLP 5040) augmented by tracks from the first two sessions.
