Julie Andrews sang "The Lonely Goatherd" as the opening number on episode 217 of The Muppet Show. She was backed by a chorus of Muppets that included the Goat, Annie Sue, Gonzo, Miss Mousey, Rowlf, Baskerville, the Mutt and the Afghan Hound. The sketch was performed on the same set and with many of the same Muppets that would perform "Upidee" on episode 220.
