Sharkents (shark serpents) are large predatory mosasaur-like sea snakes that are one of the top oceanic predators. While some of the ocean is ruled by Sharkents, in most places they face competition from Aquavaranids (popularly called New Mosasaurs). Fights to the death are common. The Sharkent fills a similar niche to the mosasaur Platecarpus.
