[[Category:Encounter ]] [[Category:]] Icy rays is a spell used by some young or inexperienced wizards. When cast, icy rays causes two bolts of bright, frigid energy to shoot out from the wizard's location and towards a spot somewhere within fifty feet of him or her. Bluish-white in color, these rays can strike one or two targets, though only one ray can be used on any one target. If the wizard is successful in his casting, he is able to momentarily freeze the target in its place. The spell is relatively easy to cast, though the caster requires a short rest of a few minutes or more before casting it again.
