Videmont of Aedirn was the son of Baldwin and a proud and stubborn king who did not want to his daughter Agnes to marry Esteril Thyssen of Kovir. He did not only have a daughter, he also had sons, at least one of whom became Demawend of Aedirn's grandfather. Ultimately, he had to be reconciled with the fact that his daughter eloped and bore him a grandson by the name of Baldwin.
