- Arthur Browne Jr. (November 20, 1923 - January 3, 2006) was a screenwriter born in Washington D.C. He began his TV writing career in the 1950s, and went on to write for television shows including My Friend Flicka (the TV series based on the Roddy McDowall movie), The Rifleman (35 episodes), Law of the Plainsman, The Virginian, The Big Valley, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Gunsmoke, Planet of the Apes (episode "Up Above the World So High"), The New Adventures of Zorro and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
