The US Championship was the Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors equivalent of the UK Championship, in order to determine the national champion of the United States of America. However, unlike the UK, America had several ongoing rival shows, most notably BattleBots. A majority of the best American talent (such as Biohazard, Son of Whyachi and Nightmare) was vested in the locally filmed BattleBots, whereas many less experienced teams travelled to the UK to be entered in Extreme Warriors. However, several, such as Team Minus Zero, Team Logicom and Team Juggerbot, fought in both BattleBots and Extreme Warriors, albeit with different machines.
