The 1965 Southeastern 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Bristol Motor Speedway on May 2, 1965. Junior Johnson dominated the event, leading 240 of the 500 laps in route to a one-carlength victory on Dick Hutcherson. Eventual season champ Ned Jarrett finished 3rd.
