| - Raw Toonage is An American Television Animated Series
- The show consists of four segments: 1.
* "Host Segment (Cold Opening)" 2.
* "He's Bonkers D. Bobcat" 3.
* "Totally Tasteless Videos" 4.
* "Marsupilami"
- The year was 1992. The Renaissance Age of Animation was still relatively young, and despite Disney making headway into the television market with The Disney Afternoon and a few Saturday Morning Cartoons, they still had serious competition from the likes of Warner Bros, Turner Broadcasting (who had just launched a scrappy little cable channel called Cartoon Network), and Nickelodeon. Enter Raw Toonage. However, the show only lasted twelve episodes on CBS before being cancelled. It ultimately spawned two spinoffs, though: Disney's Marsupilami, and Bonkers. Segments included:
- The idea for the show had an unusual genesis. Disney TV was developing a 65-half hour series for their Disney Afternoon block entitled He's Bonkers D. Bobcat. The premise was similar to Who Framed Roger Rabbit in that the series dealt with the lead character's adventures post-stardom. The actual production of this series was troubled, in large part because the so-called real characters in the series were also animated, only not as broadly as Bonkers and friends.
