In Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Hypermode is the highest difficulty level, obtained after beating the game on either of the lower difficulty levels. In Hypermode, all enemies have significantly more health and attack power than while playing on Veteran Mode. Also, Space Pirate enemies, such as Crawltanks and Pirate Troopers, will enter Hypermode much more frequently. The X-Ray Visor's ability of revealing a weak spot in the Pirates' heads, is lost from Hypermode disrupting the visor, adding to the difficulty.

  • In Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Hypermode is the highest difficulty level, obtained after beating the game on either of the lower difficulty levels. Samus will find herself unable to survive many encounters without entering her own Hypermode. Defeating Phazon-enhanced enemies without Hypermode is possible, but much more difficult and time consuming. This makes managing energy tanks and surviving a challenge. This difficulty level is also featured in the Metroid Prime Trilogy versions of Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It has been shown that the Hypermode difficulty level in the Trilogy is the same as the "Hard Mode" the games had on their original Gamecube versions, which also carries over to the Hypermode in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption being a Hard Mode.
