The United Company, makers of in-plant corn equipment, was purchased in 1987. In 1987, they began redistributing re-manufactured Kubotas. Image:MF 5200 4WD (McConnell) brochure.jpg MF's factory in Brantford, Ontario, Canada manufactured the MF 5200 tractor, and McConnell transferred manufacturing to their plant in Kinston, NC. McConnell continued building the 5200 for Massey Ferguson, and then began selling it in yellow-livery under the McConnell-Marc name. In 1994, McConnell Tractors was purchased by AGCO, re-uniting the former 4WD tractor company of Massey-Ferguson with the rest of Massey-Ferguson. AGCO re-styled the tractor and renamed it as Agcostar. After the sale of the tractor manufacturing division, McConnell later started a new division called McConnell-Marc Tractors which imported Jiangsu and Jinma tractor models from China under the McConnell-Marc brand.
