| - Advance Engineered Products was a Canadian fire apparatus manufacturer located in Vaughan, Ontario. Advance was founded in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1984 as a manufacturer of tanks and tank trailers. It continues to build tankers for various uses, aircraft refuelers and vacuum trucks from manufacturing facilities in Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Surrey, Vaughan and Drummondville. From about 2000 until 2005, Advance built fire apparatus at their Vaughan plant. The company built and sold over twenty pumpers, tankers and rescues to fire departments in Ontario. Most were on commercial chassis. In 2004 or 2005, company management decided to end their foray into the emergency services field to concentrate on other products. On occasion, converted Advance-built petroleum or milk tankers have also been used for the fire service. Advance also owns Lazer Inox of Drummondville, Québec.
