The tavern was constructed from the remains of the Spanish treasure galleon Nuestra Señora de la Inspiración Divina (Our Lady of Divine Inspiration). In his early twenties, Jack Sparrow was a regular visitor in this tavern, along with his friend Christophe-Julien de Rapièr. After Marie became pregnant, Steve sold the tavern and they moved to the town of Raleigh, North Carolina. After their departure, the tavern became less popular among the pirates.
