Akabar was a vampire obsessed with obtaining Akasha's blood, which he imagined would make him the most powerful of all the vampires. Marius de Romanus and Pandora tried to stop him, but Akabar used Marius's love for the mortal Pandora and drained her to the point of death, forcing Marius to turn her into a vampire in order to save her. Akabar eventually managed to gain access to Those Who Must Be Kept, but was killed by Akasha before he could drink her blood.
