Captain McGillicutty was a villainous captain of a pirate crew that had been infected with the Pox of LeChuck. He led The Siege of Spinner Cay. He kidnapped the MerLeader in order to try and force her to give him the summoning artifacts and words so that he could find La Esponja Grande. He intended to destroy the sponge finding that the Pox made him and his crew much more fearsome than they had ever been as normal pirates. Guybrush Threepwood came after him and sank his ship, rescuing the MerLeader in the process.
