The Cult of Shadow began development on the droid shortly after they acquired the design specifications for the Destroyer with the theft of the Byyor Command. | - The Eradicator-class Droid, like the Crimson Empire’s Lancer Droid, is a continuation of the Cylon Imperium Destroyer model. The Cult of Shadow began development on the droid shortly after they acquired the design specifications for the Destroyer with the theft of the Byyor Command. Sivter, leader of the Cult of Shadow, saw room for improvement in the already formidable Destroyer and, with input from Inner Circle Dark Lord Arksis Nan, implemented those changes into what would become the Eradicator-class. The droid is considered to be the pinnacle of cult knowledge and engineering. It is extraordinarily deadly, but because of its extensive manufacturing needs, and the relative scarcity of the materials needed to create the machine, it is also quite rare. The composition of the body is a combination of phrik alloy and durasteel enhanced through Sith alchemy, making them all but immune to lightsabers or most energy weapons. They are programmed to take commands from the Dark Master or one of the Inner Circle Dark Lords, but no one else. Although already quite deadly by normal standards, the Eradicators possess an additional trait not seen in the modern galaxy: they can use the Force. This feature is an implementation put into them by Sivter, who uncovered the knowledge years before at Chisas before those ancient facilities were destroyed. Only a handful of the droids are thought to exist.
