Fiona then went on to contest the general Council election in September 2004 where she was returned to council with an overwhelming majority of votes as Councillor for the Blue Mountains Local Governmentlink title Area. Fiona has lived in the Lower Mountains for over 34 years and is married to Graeme. She has four children who have grown up in the Lower Mountains and who now live in the area with their children. Fiona’s children have attended local schools and many local sporting clubs. Amongst the many sporting clubs, Fiona has been involved with numerous community organisations whether as a committee member or as a patron. One of these positions was the Secretary of the Glenbrook Chamber of Commercelink title. During her time on council Fiona has fought for many of services within her local area and throughout the Blue Mountains to ensure a better way of life for the local families and their children. Fiona believes in sustainable development keeping and maintaining the viability of the Blue Mountains where she believes that getting involved with the community, at whatever level helps to build stronger communities. Fiona has been a member of the Liberal partylink title since 1999, but has been involved in all Federal, State and Local campaigns since 1996.
