| - Leader of the Winter Court Alice Trimble was a cold, uncompromising lawyer prior to her abduction. Her time spent in Arcadia only seems to have refined those traits. Upon returning, she sought out her fetch--a being even less likable than she had been--and the two struck a bargain to coexist. The fetch continues working at a law firm in town, while Alice herself dedicates her time to overseeing the changelings in her court. Her fetch only gained the (partial) trust of the courts after years of manipulating the firm into policies that were useful to the changeling community. Both women are brutally honest and straightforward; the fetch often delights in upsetting people with these little hard truths. This attitude means that neither of them are widely liked, but they're grudgingly respected for what they've accomplished for the freehold--more than a handful of long-time courtiers owe their lives and freedom to the networks of information control and boltholes that the Alices have arranged. Still, having a fetch around makes many changelings uneasy, and more than a few attempts have been made to discredit or assassinate her. That she's walked through all of these unfazed is only more reason to give her a wide berth. While the changeling is technically the sole ruler of the Onyx Court, the two are so inseparable that it barely makes a difference. Both women are tall and stocky, with trimmed black hair and a propensity for wearing business suits. To changelings, though, the difference is readily apparent--the 'real' Alice has draconic features, with her fingers ending in short claws, her nose slightly upturned like a snout, and sharply pointed ears. When among changelings, the two often walk together, using their odd synchronization to make people uneasy.
