The Parilamentary Charities Act 1846 was an act passed on 1 Ferbuary 1846 during the Great Famine of Ireland. The Act, with Queen Victoria's personal revision, established and guidelined the Irish Parilamentary Charity, an charity operated by the House of Commons and governed by the Queen and Prime Minister that recieved donations from Mritish people, gave the money to the Irish, and helped them through the Famine. The Act also guidelined that 14,000,000 Pound Sterling be donated to the Irish people to start charity givings. The Act said the Charites could be abolished after the Famine ended by the Queen. However, Queen Victoria reorganized the Charity into the Irish Services to serve as an relief giving orgainzation indpendent of the Queen, the Parilament, and the government.
