  • Fūrin was in Konoha's forest, she was trying to catch her breath from all the trouble that has been going on lately and to relax. She looked like a flower amongst the trees. No, she was the brightest flower of them all. She was wearing her usual attire, and she was walking in the forest, watching the nature, trees and all the animals. "It sure has been a while since I had a rest, the constant troubles of Konoha keeps me on my toes, always anticipating an attack, never feeling safe. The fact that Konoha lies without a Jinchūriki is agonizing. We once had Uzumaki Naruto, the Kyūbi Jinchūriki. With him, Konoha wielded unimaginable strength. In the end, that young boy became the Hokage, it's a shame that he died relatively young" these thoughts echoed in Fūrin's head as she began to think of ways in order to bring a Bijū to Konoha in order to raise its military strength. It even crossed her mind to attack another village for it. Might have not been the best of ways to go about the issue, but after the fourth war, Konoha lost a lot of its veterans not to mention lots of its upcoming talents. It took a lot of reconstruction in order to bring the village back on its feet, but it was manageable. All of these thoughts swam in her head even though she was suppose to be relaxing and clearing her mind. Konohagakure never parted her thoughts even during her day off. She was still concerned about the village and its safety. Yoshitsune Ōtsutsuki, a man famed in the shinobi world for the many powers he possesses. Some call him a gentle giant, as he is notorious for his less violent nature despite his strength. Others call him a ticking bomb, just waiting to be a new Madara Uchiha and bring devastation. For now at least, Yoshitsune was seen in a good light by the people of Konoha, where he was currently located. Despite the village not possessing the nine-tails, known as Kurama by given name, the village still governed a certain power. Stored chakra of the beast was sealed with Kiyomi Himura, Yoshitsune's student and daughter figure, who was a Pseudo-Jinchūriki for Kurama and the other original tailed beasts created from Kurama. Kiyomi was part of a peace pact between Ginga and the five main villages, and to ensure the laws of the pact were upheld, Ginga, once a month, visited one of the major villages to check up on Kiyomi's seal to ensure it had not been tampered with. The people of Konoha looked at the Ōtsutsuki walking with his young, blonde protégé, and admired the teacher-student pair. "The Hokage wasn't in her office. How annoying." sighed an annoyed Yoshitsune. Kiyomi giggled at her father-figure. "Oh well, that just means we can sight see around the village more." said the gleeful child. "True, I guess." the Ōtsutsuki said as he looked to the darkening sky. "We will have to stay over night. Come on Kiyomi, we can sight see tomorrow, let's go to the hotel room." Yoshitsune said as he grabbed Kiyomi's hand to lead her to their temporary housing. Yoshitsune sat in a chair, and looked out at the dark sky. The moon shined beautifully, its light leaking into the window and danced on the face of the Genkage. The stars shines like little lanterns, and salted the sky. "I forgot how it could be so peaceful here." Yoshitsune whispered to himself. He looked over at Kiyomi in her bed, already asleep and drooling slightly from the corner of her mouth. Yoshitsune laughed softly at the scene. Yoshitsune walked over and rubbed the top of her head slightly. "Good night Kiyomi." Yoshitsune said gently. Kiyomi smiled softly in her sleep as Yoshitsune pulled away and walked towards the door. Leaving silently, Yoshitsune closed the door and went out. "A walk should be nice and tire me down a bit." the Ōtsutsuki said to himself as he walked out the door. The Ōtsutsuki followed a trail, out towards the woods he and his former teammate and still close friend Ninigi Senju use to play and train in. "I wonder if I can find the tree we toppled out there." Yoshitsune thought as he entered into the woods deeper. While Yoshitsune and his daughter were enjoying their stay in Konoha, Fūrin accidentally slept in the forest. Ironically, she slept very close to the location Yoshitsune was looking in. Fūrin was always so relaxed to the degree where she can safely sleep outdoors, despite people targeting her. An idiot's move, maybe, but Fūrin didn't mean to sleep. Her deep thoughts followed by the beautiful view of the dark blue sky with the gentle clouds and stars shining brightly made her sleepy and before she knew it, she passed out. It was of her luck that no one was targeting her at that time, and even better that she was close to Yoshitsune who would probably laugh at the sight of his old friend sleeping in the forest, she had not changed since they knew each other, she is still the easy-going person she always was. Even in her sleep, she was uneasy. As the night grew darker and time passed, Yoshitsune approached the spot she was asleep in. The leaves and twigs littering the forest floor crunched under Yoshitsune's step. He breathed in the fresh air as he approached his target. A large, fallen tree lay on the ground, littered with scrathes and having swords, kunai, shuriken, and varous other tools sticking from it. "Our favorite training spot, was a great day when we finally made this tumble down." Yoshitsune laughed loudly as he pulled an old kunai from the husk of the tree. Unknown to Yoshitsune, a woman of wind and power laid sleeping in a neighbhoring tree. Yoshitsune's laugh woke Fūrin up, she stepped up to see what was making that noise. She walked towards Yoshitsune and said "Hey can you keep your voice down? I was sleeping" she said it in a very casual way disregarding that she was the Hokage. She couldn't see Yoshitsune clearly as she just woke up so she didn't recognize him. Yoshitsune turned to the voice, kunai still in hand, raised in a defensive position. "Who is there?" Yoshitsune asked in a demanding tone. Fūrin revealed herself as she yawned and walked slowly towards Yoshitsune who had his guard on, she didn't seem to be phased. "I should be asking that" she said as she appeared in front of Yoshitsune. "I am Yoshitsune Ōtsutsuki. Leader of Gingagakure, the Genkage." Yoshitsune said as he too quickly disappeared and reappered above Fūrin in a tree branch, hanging upside down. Yoshitsune dropped the kunai to the ground. "Hello Fūrin, long time no see." Fūrin looked at him with somewhat closed eyes as she was very sleepy, her eyes were barely open. Silence spread in the atmosphere as Fūrin looked at him and said "Yoshitsune who?" she wasn't concentrating at all as she had just woken up. She then rubbed her eyes and looked at him "Oh! Hey, Yoshi-san. Long time" she stated looking up at him. "So what brings you to konoha at a time like this?" she asked. "Check-ups. My student, Kiyomi, possesses chakra from all the tailed beasts as per an agreement between the five major villages and Konoha. Even without Kurama here, the chakra stored from the beast was put in her. This month it is Konoha's turn to make sure her seal in untampered with. The Hokage was not here, so the meeting has been put off." Yoshitsune said wish a sigh as he dropped and flipped in the air, landing on his feet. "She is already alseep, if you are wondering where she is." "Oh yeah, be at ease, I will leave that to the Fūinjutsu expert of Konoha, Yosuke. It's funny, I was thinking about the Kyūbi a while ago. I will make sure we do it in the morning, no need to wake her up" said Fūrin as she suddenly gets out a Kunai and throws it directly at Yoshitsune. It seemed like an irrational behavior. "If I recall correctly, we never settled that match between us" she said with a smirk. A smirk that indicated confidence and a hint of arrogance. Yoshitsune caught the incoming kunai with his right hand. "You will have him do it? So you are the Hokage?" Yoshitsune asked as he put the kunai into a tree by throwing it again. "You want to settle a match? Fine by me. Don't be mad when the forest comes crashing down." Yoshitsune smirked as his eyes transformed. His eyes became crimson red in color, and the pupil stretched, becoming slitted and fox-like. Yoshitsune has entered his intial form. "You were strong then, I assume you only grew. I'll humor you a bit with this power." Yoshitsune as he looked and saw his nails sharpen. "You seem to have good recollection of my skills. When we last met, I was the leader of the ANBU and the captain of the assassination squad. My stealth skill is unmatched, Yoshi-san. Now don't worry, I won't go overboard as this is merely a match up between friends, I'll just give you a hint of my power. So I won't be using stealth alone as killing you isn't my target, but I will utilize stealth in my combat" she said with a smirk. She weaved two hand seals as she said "Tenkūgakure no Jutsu" Fūrin then disappeared in thin air with no trace. Displaying her mastery of Silent Killing, Fūrin could run without making the slightest sound, she can run with high speed without making any sound whatsoever. She is a master of silent killing. Fūrin then drew her sword and used Body Flicker Technique to instantly travel from her place right in front of Yoshitsune without making any sound. Her blade was infused with her wind chakra, it could cut through steel with ease. Fūrin then attempted a slash to the knee followed by redirection of her sword to slash upwards targeting Yoshitsune's rip cage. The attack was silent and quick. However, it wasn't impossible to dodge. Yoshitsune blinked the moment she disappeared into the wind. Silence. Eerie silence and moving air. Yoshitsune opened his eyes and saw movement, and jumped back, and his pants were slight cut by the wind blade. The slitted pupil had shrank, but retained the slitted appearance and was now surrounded by rippling rings. Yoshitsune let his Rinnegan activate. "Good technique, could kill a normal man in real combat. Good thing this is neither real combat, nor am I am normal man." Yoshitsune said as he picked up a sword from the fallen tree. The blade, while slightly dirty, had not rusted as it was sheathed in the tree. "Been awhile since I used a real sword. I'm more use to sharpened rods." Yoshitsune said as he flowed chakra into the blade. "Be careful, wind master, wind only fuels a fire." Yoshitsune said as he fired a fireball at Fūrin. Fūrin was amazed by Yoshitsune's speed and his agility to dodge her attack with idleness. His movements were smooth, his mid-set was cool, despite being in Jinchūriki form, which can be mind wrecking for some. Yoshitsune was truly a worthy opponent, but he made a little mistake on his part. He mentioned how fire is stronger than wind. Fūrin heard this and knew that he was about to use a fire technique. As Yoshi weaved hand seals for the fireball technique, Fūrin increased the air pressure in the area around Yoshi to a high degree using Air Domination, which should result in a big explosion as soon as fire is spat out of Yoshi's mouth. Simultaneously to the increasing in pressurization, Fūrin used her expertise in chakra flow to flow some chakra in the chakra network present at he feet and legs in order to increase their strength temporarily. She then jumped back a few meters to avoid the explosion that was about to result thanks to the augmentation of pressurization of air around Yoshi and fire. She then deactivated her wind technique to see the results. An explosion of fire, and glued in place. Yoshitsune felt the heat of the oncoming fire. Using the power of the Preta Path, Yoshitsune absorbed the chakra-based burst enough to evade damage, but not enough as to leave it looking as though it did hit him. Yoshitsune stood unharmed as the smoke cleared. He finally broke free of the hold Fūrin put on him and jumped upwards. Yoshitsune then created black spears coming of him arm and fired them at the Hokage. "Nice, you managed to avoid it" said Fūrin as she saw him jump upwards "now I don't think that is a good idea" she said as the projectiles came flying at her. "Fūipō!" she said as air began swirling around her with great speed. She didn't need to use hand seals thanks to her ability to manipulate air by Air Domination. She took the advantage that Yoshi was in mid-air. Fūrin smirked as she said "Kazetekidan". Three wind grenades formed around Yoshi who was in mid-air. Each wind grenade carried big force and could inflict much damage. However, it was not life threatening. Yoshitsune had moments, but that was all he needed. Using the power of the Asura Path, Yoshitsune body started shifting and appearing mechanical. He body became armoured in the form for a large, metal ball. The explosion that hit barely hurt the shell. The metal shifted, and Yoshitsune's head came forth, and let forth a stream of fire on to Fūrin quickly, while being careful with the chakra level in it. Fūrin stared at her fellow Kage as he made the same mistake again, he used fire against her. Fūrin however, wasn't going to use the same counter again, in fact the adverse. She decided to use a rather creative way of turning the attack on her opponent. She had no trouble in doing so as she was a master of the wind nature. She inhaled deeply and then exhaled a gigantic wave of wind "Wind Release Stream" it was called. However, Fūrin didn't blow a simple stream of wind, it was like a giant wave of wind emitted from her mouth. Trees nearby began to crack and fall, despite not facing the attack directly. Yet, it wasn't enough. Fūrin blew this sea of wind towards the fire beam, saturating the wind with oxygen. She filled the wave completely with oxygen that once it contacted the flames, the flames grew much bigger. The direction of the attack directed the fire back at Yoshitsune, but it was about ten times as strong as he fired it and it wasn't merely a stream of fire, but a giant wave similar to a tsunami. It was so huge and wide ranged that it would be almost impossible to just avoid. Yoshitsune laughed as the woman fell for his own plan. Yoshitsune Rinnegan anticapated the fire, as the Preta Path activated, only this time, the fire was not absorbed instantly. Oh no Yoshitsune allowed the flame to be absorbed slowly with no ill effects. Yoshitsune looked like an inferno, on outside one could confuse it with him being cremated. Yoshitsune sprinted forward, the fire following, at blinding speeds. The trailing fire caught the plants on fire and as he moved towards Fūrin, she could feel the intensity of the fire as it became nearly on top of her. Yoshitsune, silent up until that point, uttered one technique name. "Shinra Tensei." The fire propelled off of him with not mere chakra, not just how he directed it, but with the force of his own Deva Path pushing it along. Gravity was more than the mere wind could oppose, perhaps snuff out the fire, but the powerful push would not end.
