| - Aggravated wounds are wounds so grossly severe that werewolves cannot regenerate them expediently. These wounds are commonly inflicted by fire, teeth and claws, silver, radiation, the attacks of other supernatural creatures, and any mundane thing that causes grievous tissue damage. Unlike most living things, Garou can soak most aggravated damage. Garou can heal aggravated wounds by remaining outside their breed form at the rate of 1 level per day of mostly rest.

For example, being stabbed with a knife would not cause aggravated damage, unless the knife was silver. Being stabbed with a running chain-saw, however, would cause aggravated damage. A handy mental comparison to how badly injured is a character is that of a grenade: A man who jumps on a grenade and survives has suffered 7 aggravated damage. A Garou who, through combat, has 7 aggravated damage inflicted upon him is presumably in similar disrepair.
