- A character's eye has great supernatural power. Usually, the eye grants the user power over perception, either the target's (illusion, mind control) or the user's (telepathy, premonitions, clairvoyance, etc). In most cases, direct eye contact or at the very least line-of-sight is required. Other restrictions may apply. Evil eyes can be any color, but are usually glowing unusual colors like Red Eyes, Take Warning or two colors at once. (By the way, it's possible to obtain Evil Eyes in real life. They cost twelve bucks on Amazon, but they ward off evil rather than cause it, sadly.)

However, while the Eyes of a typical Rune Cannon are normally closed, The Evil Eye, on the other hand, is always open and can be readily controlled. It projects a sphere wherein people are transformed into monsters. The last surviving Evil Eye, obtained by Iskas who had it forcibly removed from a monster's eye socket, was destroyed by Kyril, ending the use of Rune Cannons in warfare, as by this time nearly every supply of muzzles and ammunition had been destroyed.
