abstract
| - Scott Bevan was one of the fifteen players who joined Rovers in the summer of 2011 as part of new manager Paul Buckle's overhaul of the playing staff. He had played under Buckle for three years at Torquay United, and when he was appointed as Rovers' boss Bevan followed shortly afterwards. He was one of ten players to make their full debuts for The Pirates in the first game of the 2011–12 season, a 3–2 victory over AFC Wimbledon, and was the first choice 'keeper for the majority of his first season in Bristol. He lost his place in the starting eleven briefly near the middle of the season when he was forced to miss a number of games due to injury. Michael Poke was brought in on loan to stand in for him and impressed enough to retain his place in the lineup when Bevan returned to full fitness. This was a temporary blip however and Bevan was soon restored to the team when Poke suffered an injury of his own, ruling him out of contention for the starting spot.
