The Eastern Quebec League was an intermediate-level league that operated on both the north and south shores of the St. Lawrence River in eastern Quebec. It ran for two seasons from 1966 to 1968. It was a merger between the Quebec North Shore League and the Lower St Lawrence League in 1966. Both league were having financial problems and the Lower St Lawrence was down to only one team - the Rimouski Maple Leafs. The league ran for two seasons before folding in 1968 due to low fan interest.
