Uncirculated is a condition or state of a coin when it is not circulated in the country it was founded in. It is a rare chance that an uncirculated coin is circulated in a later country. Most European coins are uncirculated because of the Euro. Coins that are uncirculated have a higher value than circulated coins, because they are uncommon due to a change in the currency. However, it may or may not matter if the coin is in use or not, but its quality.
