The United States presidential election of 2028 was the 61st quadrennial American presidential election. Incumbent president Cory Booker was term-limited per the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution, so voters selected a new president. That president was Texas Senator Julian Castro, who defeated South Dakota Senator and former Senate Majority Leader John Thune.
