Another Tales match, another 55-45 type of loss. Board 8's love affair with the game prevented Borderlands from getting the prediction percentage it deserved, but there was really no way Borderlands was going to lose this even with Vesperia losing the board vote. Even on an RPG dominated site, the Tales series has never been able to do anything beyond Symphonia, and even Symphonia usually tanks.

Worth noting here is how this was one of the few 8/9 matches in the first round to go as planned. Most of them screwed people over hardcore, but Borderlands was a good little favorite and won easily like it was supposed to. Tales is weird in that the rest of the site knows it's weak, but hardcore contest people always want it to be strong. So you end up with experts overrating Tales and casuals picking it properly all the time. Go take a peek at Symphonia's prediction percentages for proof of this.
