Ramon Pendroza was a drug dealer and son of Louis Pendroza, the patriarch of the Pendroza Crime Family, along with his step-mother Maria, aunt Lucia, and cousin Carlos. After his father's death, Maria felt Ramon was making a power grab, but Ramon already did most of the drug selling legwork, and set up a deal with undercover detective Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs for 50 kilos of cocaine, and wanted to arrange with Don DiMarco, head of the DiMarco Family (and rival to the Pederozas) to use their muscle (since most of Pendroza's were killed in the gunfight that cost Louis his life) on the deal, but an unknown assassin kills Tony Murati, DiMarco's main shooter before a deal could be made, and the DiMarcos were cleared in any involvement with Louis' death.
